Waiakea, the Restorative Water

Published / by AlbertK / Leave a Comment

Waiakea water is sourced from Mauna Loa, the biggest sub-aerial volcano in the world. This water is strangely alkaline, which gives it a sweet finish. The product, being rich in essential minerals and electrolytes, is responsible for its good taste. The water is naturally filtered, before being bottled, through many feet of the porous rock. This Hawaiian bottled drink has been certified carbon neutral making it safer and better.

Waiakea spring and the brand managers are invested in environmental protection. There is also the determination to help the less fortunate in society. This brand is dedicated to donating 650 liters per, to deserving African and other communities, per each liter sold.

Mineral Content

The level of minerals dissolved in water is its total dissolved solids (tds). Minerals such as calcium, sodium, iron, magnesium, potassium and silica are examples of minerals in water. Noob Prenuer says that Waiakea water has a total dissolved solids of 79, which gives it a crisp and light taste. According to AquaGrade, unlike the other mineral water, enables Waiakea water to be consumed with any type of food. Silica gives the water its smooth taste and also the mouthfeel. Another reason this brand stands out is that it is protected from its environment: virginality. The level of virginality ensures that nitrate, which is carried by water, does not contaminate this volcanic water. The nitrate, carried by water, normally comes from one or many of these sources: decaying matter, fertilizers, septic tanks and animal waste among many other sources.

EPA regulates the levels of nitrate in water that is meant for household use. The volcanic filtration of Waiakea water keeps these nitrate levels away so that the rating is superior keeping the nitrate level very low. The vintage of this water brand also contributes to the low levels of nitrate. The vintage of a liquid indicates its age before sourcing.

Since this water, from the Mauna Loa volcano, is young and constantly flows, it is not in one place long enough to absorb contaminants and many minerals. Since the water is in constant flight, it does not pick up the contaminants and is therefore crisp and light with a clean taste. Again due to its constant flight, it is possible that it does not get the desirable levels of certain minerals. It is for this purpose that it is enhanced with minerals such as Silica, Potassium, Magnesium, Sodium and Calcium.

This crisp drink is available in premier stores country wide. It can be found in Whole Foods too. The brand has a growth rate of 170% per annum, which is the inspiration behind the idea to expand internationally.
